This site is dedicated to helping people continue their passion for shooting, or to take up the sport of clay pigeon shooting, affordably. Cheap clay pigeon shooting is what I am passionate about, as I want the sport to be successful and accessible to all.
I have a number of articles already written to help you make the most of the sport, without breaking the bank.
Shooting lessons on a budget
Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to get into the sport, or maybe you’re an established shooter looking to advance your skills; cheap clay pigeon shooting lessons are something most people will be looking at.
Clay shooting on a budget
Cheap clay pigeon shooting for beginners can be slightly different than if you’re more advanced shooters, but ultimately both articles will help everyone find ways to make shooting cheaper.
Cheap finance for a gun
Not everyone can afford to buy a new gun and not everyone can afford to buy an expensive gun, but that shouldn’t be a barrier to entry in shooting sports. Cheap finance for a gun is possible, you just need to be a bit creative.
Cheap shotgun cartridges
Undoubtedly the most expensive part of shooting clay pigeons is the ammunition. Costs are only going one way and without shotgun cartridges, you’re just watching orange disks flying through the air. Maximising savings on buying cartridges is paramount, so I’ve put together a guide on how to buy cheap shotgun cartridges.

As a youngster my dad taught my brother and I how to shoot rifles effectively as where I grew up we were all forced by government to enrol to the military at the age of 18 for at least one year of military service and if you declined/absconded you would go to prison.
So it was essential for us to learn from a young age how to shoot rifles. However, I have never tried clay pigeon shooting. Sounds like a lot of fun. Would like to try it at some point. The closest I come to clay pigeon shooting was when playing Olympics on the Xbox.
I’d definitely suggest you trying out clay pigeon shooting. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s a very different type of shooting, compared with rifles. Shotgun shooting doesn’t involve aiming, but rather “pointing”. I know it must sound a bit strange as you’d think they’re the same thing, but not so! Have a look for your local shooting school or clay ground and give them a call – most will have “have a go” facilities and specials.
All the best!
